MINDLESSNESS or MINDFULNESS - IT'S A CHOICE!

It is quite amazing how we are choosing to live our lives in a fog. We run around daily, performing tasks that we consider important, barely noticing life as it passes by. The mindlessness epidemic is extremely prevalent. It is so bad that we don’t even notice each other in grocery stores and the like. People stand in the middle of the aisle, searching for a product and when a fellow shopper comes along needing to pass by, the searcher continues to stand smack-dab in the middle of the row. The attempts the passer-by makes to manoeuvre around are futile. It is like he does not even exist!! When did humankind become so oblivious and why?

How sad that life is spent in that stupor? Think about all that is being missed. Think about the dangers of driving in that mindset. Think about the wonderment of the events of family and friends that are not taken in and fully experienced or appreciated because the fog hangs heavy. Consider the fullness and impact of what could be an awesome life being carelessly tossed aside, never to be regained.

Step out of the fog and into mindfulness. Engage in life. Reconsider what is important. Take time to enjoy the moments and the people around you. Be aware, be kin, be the kind of human being you want others to be toward you.
